• Leaders of tomorrow!

    Couple months ago a good friend from Peru sent me an invitation to apply to the 5th World Youth Congress and I want to extend her invitation to everyone who read this post.

    The congress will bring 1000 young people from around the world together in Istanbul, Turkey for almost two weeks.

    WHEN: July 31 – August 13, 2010

    WHERE: Istanbul, Turkey.

    ELIGIBILITY (There are seven categories: see which category works for you best)

    • [1] young activist 1 (young person, passionate about development, no project done yet)
    • [2] young activist 2 (done 1 or 2 projects, never been to World Youth Congress)
    • [3] young activist 3 (done several projects, been to World Youth Congress, or worked with Peace Child International)
    • [4] young artist for development (using arts as tool to raise awareness about global issues)
    • [5] young educator (you have ideas how to teach global issues)
    • [6] young entrepreneur (you are a young business person)
    • [7] young journalist (you are a young media person who want to report on the congress for a local newspaper, blog, radio etc.)

    HOW TO APPLY:
    [1] fill out the online application form here
    - [200 words max] why you want to go to the 5th World Youth Congress
    - [500 words max] about your project, why it is innovative?
    - [200 words max] what do you hope to get out of the Congress?

    DEADLINE TO APPLY: December 2009
