Got a van ready to go, just need someone to drive. If you want go north or south, east or west; don’t really cave! Pretty much a free taxi, actually a free taxi, fuel already paid. If interested email either…
After returned back from Pancake rocks I stayed in the same hostel than before and this time I found the sing adobe and I wondered why they have the van, the people and the fuel but not a driver…
I met one of the guys and he told me that he was re parking his van after the wild food festival when police came up and made him a drinking test which he didn’t pass because he was 4 times over the limit, which was enough reason to loose license. This character was Alexander, who is 18 years old, originally from Scotland and a very smart guy who was traveling with two more British guys.
I thought it is going to be fun travel with all of them so I shacked his hand and I told him driver founded. We went to court on Tuesday morning, where he had to pay 500 dollars fine, and the day after we were leaving south. The two British guys never came up because they were woofing and after tried to reach them with no luck, we decided to leave to Milford Sound, taking the glaciers highway, returning back to Greymouth on Saturday.
Since we started going south the rain came all the way long with us which was not very good but he told me it was better than in Scotland, I took it in that way and even having most of my cloth wet I really enjoy each of the treks and specially the glaciers. The only problem was when we found that the road to Milford sound was close and we were not able to continue our journey to the south. Because of the road close we drove to Wanaka where some friends were staying with more friends of them and we had an awesome farewell.
In the other hand, not being able to see all what I wanted to see of New Zealand it is the best excuse to return back, kayak in Milford, tramp around Stewart island and see the amazing people that I have met while I was traveling.
