Turkey and the 5th World Youth Congress!

Last September I posted about the 5th Youth World Congress. Before December came, I submitted my application and I remember I didn’t know where I´d fly from to Istanbul if I was selected… On March the invitation came through and on May I submitted a second application to run one of the workshops: “The importance of entrepreneurs in developing countries”.
Since last week I´m in Istanbul, which is an awesome city, full of colours, people and energy!

As some countries in the world the largest city is not the capital, which is Ankara. I´ll be only in Istanbul this time, however I´m looking forward to visiting other cities of Turkey in the future. There´s a population of a little more of 72 millions people and Turkey has been the bridge between Asia and Europe for centuries. I been reading about Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who is the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey. In 1922, the occupying armies were expelled, and the new Turkish state was established. They founded a parliament which formally abolished 623 years of Ottoman rule.
I´m really looking forward for seeing what the Congress is going to achieve and to meeting 1000 young people from around 100 different countries!
