2011, accountability and Not to do lists!

A week after 2011 started I had dinner with my sister and a friend, where we had The twelve grapes of luck, which is a spanish tradition which was adopted it by my family since I have memory. The tradition consists in eating a grape with each bell strike at midnight of December 31.
Last year I posted about New Years Resolutions, on 2011 I want to post
about accountability and Not to do lists.
If you set up goals or resolutions for your year you need to be able to track them. For example if you decided read 18 books and you don´t read 1.5 books per month it´s going to be difficult get to the end of the year and achieve your goal. That´s why after you set up your resolutions it´s important break them down to months or weeks to track their progress.
Some people say that Not to do list are offen more effective than to do lists, however I believe they both are effective for upgrading performances. You need to know where to go and what you need to stop doing. Have you ever created a not to do list? For example some of my not to do list are: Stop checking my email before I have my breakfast or do not agree meetings with clear agenda.
I dont remember years where I had expectations as 2011, there are lot of things in place to start taking form and I´m looking forward to seeing each of them. All the best for the year that is starting
!

Che, me seguis robando posts! Venía pensando en escribir sobre las Not to do lists hace un tiempo… pierdo por lento!
Estaría bueno que compartas tu Not to do list… a mi me está costando mucho armar la mía… Creo que es porque en este momento tengo un factor de mi vida que estaría incluído en la lista, y no lo puedo cambiar en el corto plazo…
Abrazo, buen post!
