A little about education

Last week I was watching a debate about education, it compared education systems in US and China. The debate was about how both nations educate kids to compete, to never fail and to reach goals.

I didn’t know that high school in China is 6 days a week 10 hours a day, more than a full time job when you are mid 40… In US is 5 days a week 6 hours a day.

For my education/background, and because they are kids, they should have time to have fun and just play, however probably the chinese speaker would have disagree with my opinion.

American educators have been exploring why Chinese students do so well in math and science and in the other hand Chinese educators, are trying to identify the American genius for innovation.

For this post I also wanted to include a video about how the education paradigm is changing
