Unprecedented Mass Meeting of U.S. Ambassadors

Sunday morning usually starts with a great breakfast and newspapers for few hours, sometimes in a cafe, others in my house. Today an article called my attention because I heard anything about such event before and it´s going to start tomorrow.

For the first time in history, nearly all of America´s 260 ambassadors, in more than 180 countries, will be meeting at the State Department on Monday. It was called by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, but I couldn’t find when the invitation was sent.

The gathering is the first ambassadors global conference and it comes at the beginning of 2011. Crisis in middle east, concerns about Wikileaks and China´s currency war are probably going to be on the table, however I only can try to guess what they are really going to discuss.

I hope media start sharing more about such event. At the moment only Associated Press, Fox news and Huffington Post did a basic article.
